Hi Friends and Followers,
It’s been a while since I last wrote, but life has calmed for a bit and I’ve had some time to catch up on blogging and wanted to share some of my favorite looks for summer!

There’s more than the off-the-shoulder look or crop tops this season and I’ve loved seeing these different trends emerge. I’ve added something from each of these styes to my wardrobe over the past month as I’ve cleaned out my closet before I move [again]. Below are four of my favorite trends for the season with several variations for you to get inspired. Also- I just like looking at pretty things!

Denim Skirts

The jean short has met its breezier, more sophisticated match. Denim skirts pair just as well with casual tees and now come in a variety of styles besides the ultra-mini skirts of old. I love the tie waist one I linked below, and am currently rocking the button-down style from LOFT.

Scalloped Hems

I stumbled upon some scalloped hem tanks at H&M on clearance this week and fell in love. Feminine and chic yet simple and understated, they work on shorts, skirts, OTS tops and dresses to subtly elevate a look.

Sweater Tanks

Alright, I’ll admit, this one isn’t the most practical for the consistent triple digit heat I’ll find myself in for the next three months. But they’re so cute! Luckily, I can wear them well into the fall with cuffed denim and booties. I foresee some layering potential for these guys as well! I picked up the middle one from LOFT and can’t wait to wear it.

And my absolute favorite-Embroidered Everything

I love love love the embroidery trend that started this past year and hope it sticks around! The detailed stitching and floral designs add interest and sophistication to dresses, skirts, rompers, and even accessories. I picked up the LOFT skirt [top right] and wore it the very next day. Check out our insta to see the beautiful hand-made embroidered dress Clare found while we were in San Antonio. There’s a few more on our Pinterest page that I’ve linked, like this Zara jumpsuit that I’m in love with.

Have you tried any of these styles? What are your favorite trends this summer?
